We need some commercial grade equipment, and we'll sauce you up if you fund it!

<p>We've grown our business to capacity flipping one falafel at a time, and demand for our sauces continues to grow. We're up to our elbows in sauce and want to buy the equipment we need to grow and keep making our sauces. </p>

We started this company last summer with a mission to deliver on taste and reshape the food system. Our model for sustainability and community focus (as well as the deliciousness-factor that our food has) has earned us recognition as leaders in the local food movement by organizations like Just Food, as well as in the media, including the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, New York Magazine, Daily Candy, and other blogs and radio shows. Our focus on using local produce is beyond any we've encountered - and we know nothing beats the taste of a freshly picked, well, anything. That's why we buy directly from farmers within 100 miles of NYC, and why we insist 80-90% of the bulk of each jar is locally sourced. Ours is one of very few jarred foods that uses traditional preserving and jarring techniques, 100% free of additives and preservatives.

We were lucky enough to start selling our sauces to gourmet retailers within NYC in just a few months of starting. We're so excited about the growing interest our sauces and falafel are generating, and we're at a turning point. Our passion for pure food and our mission drives us and the great response we receive from you keeps us going. And we want to keep up the momentum, but we need the right equipment to expand our production and graduate up to real commercial grade equipment! (The stuff we have that's not dead yet is on its last sad little legs!) The right equipment would allow us to catapult our business to the next level! This would mean being able to buy more from local farmers directly, making more sauces in less time and having them be available much more widely to more people.

Here's what we need:

To get to the next phase of production, we need to purchase just 3 things to keep making the sauces and falafel that people love! These are: a commercial blender to be able to whirr and blend all of the delicious sauces we make in 1/4 of the time we currently spend, a real flat top griddle - currently we perform magic with a camping stove (not as glamorous as it sounds!) and even heat distribution would help make more of the perfect quinoa falafel - and a freezer to store our freshest straight-from-the-farm ingredients in the off season, would be nothing short of life altering for our business.
