We are starting Dover NH's first brewery. We have developed a community supported business model that truly brings the community into the business as much as we go out into the community. Locally sourced ingredients for beer and food, local capital to fund it, and local people enjoying it!

One fateful night, December 31st, 2003 to be exact, Josh and Dave met at a New Year's Eve Party because our wives, Shelby and Julia, had started working together at Eastern Mountain Sports. Since then, Josh and Dave started down the crazy road of starting a brewery that locally sources its ingredients, and is a community supported business. Nate came into the picture early on after all of us working together for a local building company. We have developed recipes and drank lots of good beer. In 2009, just after a slight life-hiccup (aka a medieval battle against the mythical creature called Cancer), Dave entered my MBA program in Sustainability at Antioch New England and further developed the idea of a Community Supported Brewery business model that truly integrated the business into community. You're a part of that. Well the time has come! Dover is ready, we are ready, and we hope you are ready. We're partnering with an incredible local food chef, Evan Hennessey, and an experienced brewer, Michael Snyder, to start the 7th Settlement Brewery and Pub in the Cocheco Mill right on Washington Street in downtown Dover, NH. We have signed the lease for a 4000 square foot space right on street level and overlooking the Cocheco River (where we hope to have a deck installed for your enjoyment by summertime).
So, we're working with a couple local banks and the funding looks good, we just need to close the gap on the down payment. That's where our community comes in (you). We've launched a Founder's Club so that you can be a part of this legacy starting right here on the Seacoast.

Don't buy beer from strangers,

~ Dave and Josh
